The Tudor Rose by Margaret Campbell Barnes

The Tudor Rose will be re-issued later this year and it has a pretty cover (although headless). It tells the story of Elizabeth of York. I read it a couple of years ago and enjoyed it very much.

Here are some older covers:

1953

Also from 1953

1971

1976

1977

This is the version I have. I'm not sure of the exact year (and it's in storage so I can't look it up) but I believe it's from the early 80's

Unknown year

I love the new cover but it is very similar to the covers of the Philippa Gregory books and other historical fiction. Love that dress!

What's the book like? I've heard of it, but haven't read it yet.

I love the one from 1976. Elizabeth of York looks as if she's been dropping acid!

#3 Tudor Rose was also a cover of the Dorothy Dunnett book "Checkmate". Odd!

Welcome to my blog collection of book covers. In the course of looking for books on ebay, I have come across some very interesting book covers. I didn't always end up buying the book, so the covers shown here aren't necessarily ones that I own. Just ones I liked, disliked or thought were funny, cheesy, etc. I'm no expert when it comes to creating stuff like this, so we'll see how well this format works. Suggestions are always appreciated!
