Within the Hollow Crown by Margaret Campbell Barnes

Within the Hollow Crown is the story of Richard II. I read it last year and thought it was really good. There aren't very many books written about this time and since some of Barnes books are being reissued, I hope this is among them. In the meantime, here are some previous editions for your viewing enjoyment.

1947

1948

1972

I don't have the year for the rest of these:

This one was supposedly from the early 1970's, but it doesn't seem like it to me - it looks to modern.

How do they always manage to make the men look more feminine than the women! What's with the pose in version #2?! And in #4 and #5 he looks more like the Incredible Hulk! Ha!

Welcome to my blog collection of book covers. In the course of looking for books on ebay, I have come across some very interesting book covers. I didn't always end up buying the book, so the covers shown here aren't necessarily ones that I own. Just ones I liked, disliked or thought were funny, cheesy, etc. I'm no expert when it comes to creating stuff like this, so we'll see how well this format works. Suggestions are always appreciated!
